For years, Paul and his brother Chuck have helped keep Budderlee in good repair, tending to loose steps, stubborn gates, and bridges that needed care. Now Paul is retiring, making room for more time with family and the things he enjoys.
Chuck will carry on their carpentry business, while he and his wife Willa, the village cobbler, remain part of Paul’s everyday life. There will be time for skiing and football, a slice of Maisie’s apple pie, and his favorite mint chocolate chip ice cream. Paul may be putting down his tools more often, but his care for the village will always remain.
