Olive the Fruit Seller

Resident #003-Olive the opossum carrying a basket of apples. Resident 003 "Each original painting arrives beautifully framed, wired, and ready to hang, accompanied by its official Budderlee story card."

An original expressive realism painting — created to move beyond the photo reference and let the living presence come forward.

The story behind the painting

Olive the Fruit Seller Olive works closely with the local orchard, gathering apples and other seasonal fruits to share with the residents of Budderlee. With her basket filled and her scarf carefully wrapped, she brings the colors and flavors of each harvest into the heart of the village. Her best friend is Maisie, Budderlee’s talented pie maker. Together, they run the village fruit and pie shop—a cheerful gathering place where baskets overflow with fresh produce and the comforting scent of warm pies drifts through the doorway. Olive and Maisie’s shop has become a place where stories are exchanged, friendships grow, and no one leaves without something delicious. Olive reminds us that the sweetest things in life are meant to be gathered, shared, and enjoyed together. Resident #3 of The Village of Budderlee Original artwork by Barbara J. Demers—Framed
